About the Role:

As a Pre-Sales Engineer for Cybersecurity Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical aspects of the sales process. Working closely with the sales team and prospective clients, you will provide expert guidance on cybersecurity solutions, demonstrate product capabilities, and ensure that proposed solutions meet the clients' security needs. Your technical expertise will help shape the security posture of organizations by recommending and tailoring cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design and Presentation:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and map them to appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
  • Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to prospective clients’ needs.
  • Develop detailed solution architectures and proposals, including technical specifications and requirements.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Conduct discovery meetings to assess client needs, infrastructure, and security challenges.
  • Lead technical workshops and proof-of-concepts (PoC) to showcase the effectiveness of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for clients during the sales process, addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends, technologies, and threats in the cybersecurity space, including cloud security, network security, data protection, and endpoint security.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s cybersecurity solutions and how they align with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Advise clients on best practices for security implementation and optimization of solutions.
  • Collaboration and Feedback:
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to provide feedback on customer needs, industry trends, and feature requests.
  • Work closely with the post-sales team to ensure seamless deployment of solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Proposal Writing:
  • Prepare detailed RFP/RFI responses and technical proposals.
  • Provide input for creating technical documentation, datasheets, and case studies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role, ideally within the cybersecurity industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), antivirus solutions, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network security technologies.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • CISSP, CEH, CISM, CCSP, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
  • Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.).
